Transforming Cuteness

What a difference a good grooming can make! As these before and after shots show, Miss Barbara at Barking Hound Village really outdid herself today. Heather and Mr. K look great and are so obviously happy to show off their new looks to the world. Now, that's not to say their scruffier alter egos weren't as cute - everyone knows there is no such thing as a Scottie that isn't cute - but you can tell these two enjoy a day at the spa every once in a while and their confidence really shines through when they're all groomed. So, what do you think? Is this a true transformation of cuteness or what?

  1. Good Gravy. I got "clipped" today also. What's the charge there? Here it was fifty, tip included and out the door.

  2. Hey Kyla! We paid a cool $50 (each) including tip plus 9-5 daycare. Hopping over to your blog now to see how your spa day went!

  3. Honest answer? They like being clipped when they've gotten a bit matter and all that fur has become itchy. But they HATE the smell of shampoo and given the chance, will race outside to roll in the dirt until they smell like they did before being groomed. WE like them groomed. They like being grubby. It's a dog thing.

  4. Hootie leaves here in a few short minutes to visit The Grooming Place and "Aunt Bev" (a name that makes him shudder). He won't like it one bit but I will love it. He has 2 acres in which to run here and believe me run he does..squirrels and the pusser-pusser drive him insane. Grooming is almost a waste of money except for the one or two days he looks so handsome! So....off we go!

  5. They have to roll around in the dirt and anything else they can to mask that clean smell, in order to sneak up on their prey. Did someone say Squirrel!!!

  7. I do think they strut their cuteness more after being groomed, but it is pretty short lived! After a few days, they must find something good and rank to roll around in, they are fierce hunters after all! Maggie was groomed a few weeks ago, so today is a bath day! See her pretty groomed self on The Nutty Mutt!
